Boris Johnson’s resignation: the end of the lying era of the Prime Minister

Boris Johnson's resignation

Boris Johnson's resignation

What personality traits does Boris Johnson have from the point of view of political analysts?

How did Boris Johnson’s successive scandals reduce his political credibility?

What promises did Boris Johnson make to the British in 2019 to become the Prime Minister of the UK?

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who thought he could cover up one scandal after another with his political skills, finally reached the end of the line. Boris Johnson’s resignation followed a crisis in the Conservative government.

Boris Johnson’s 30 years of lies

Boris Johnson’s resignation came after several lies. Over the years, he has been known as a liar, irresponsible, inconsiderate and without any rational philosophy except the desire to gain power. The writer and academic Rory Stewart, a former Conservative member of Parliament, said: “People have known that Boris Johnson lies for 30 years. He’s probably the best liar we’ve ever had as a prime minister. He knows a hundred different ways to lie.”

Boris Johnson is more of a liar than Donald Trump

According to the New York Times, Mr Johnson’s lying is double that compared of former US President Donald J. Trump, who is an improvisational politician and is often far from the truth. Even if he speaks the truth, he deceives himself to do it. Boris Johnson’s critics say the prime minister’s blueprint for solving crises has rarely been implemented, and these plans rarely end with simple truths. This view worked for him for years, but it was no longer effective in the end.

Successive scandals of Boris Johnson

Boris Johnson‘s resignation was the news bomb of recent days in the UK. His government endured one scandal after another centered on Johnson. His government’s ethics adviser reprimanded him after giving tens of thousands of pounds to people to renovate his flat.

Also, his private messages with a wealthy British businessman about his plan to manufacture air conditioners in the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic raised questions about his impropriety. In addition, the embarrassing presence of Johnson and his advisers at parties and gatherings during the Corona-related quarantine was a clear violation of the laws he had imposed on the country. Johnson’s various explanations about the timing and other details of Chris Pincher’s sex-offence case ultimately tipped the scales against him. He has once again failed to tell the truth.

Johnson’s false promises to become prime minister

Boris Johnson’s resignation came as he failed to deliver on his promises. Boris Johnson entered the prime minister’s office in 2019 after ousting his rival Theresa May with the slogan of fundamental changes. His populist promises, flamboyant personality, and false promises of tax cuts helped free UK from its dependence on the EU and revived the national pride lost over Brexit. But, like Trump, he behaved as if he had a personality more significant than his office. Even his words in front of his office that he will stay in his position until the election of a new leader for the party shows his lack of self-awareness and incorrect monitoring of the situation of his former supporters.

Boris Johnson’s resignation after a controversial few weeks

UK PM Boris Johnson has resigned after several weeks of controversy, several ethical scandals and the resignation of more than 50 government officials. Boris Johnson’s resignation, he said when announcing the news in front of the prime minister’s office at 10 Downing Street in London: “It is the will of the parliamentary Conservative party that there should be a new leader of that party, and therefore a new prime minister.” Johnson stepped down as party leader but said he plans to stay as prime minister until this fall.

Boris Johnson’s humiliating defeat

Some analysts believe it is a humiliating defeat for Johnson, who led the UK out of the EU while running one of the world’s most successful vaccination campaigns. In the last few days, Johnson defended his position as prime minister as stubbornly as possible. Despite the successive resignations of ministers, deputies, and lower-ranking advisers and requests to resign from his party members, he was not ready to resign from his position, either as the leader of the conservative party or as prime minister.

The UK government has faced many scandals since Boris Johnson took office. Previously, the numerous parties and receptions of the members of the Johnson government during the peak of the Covid-19 restrictions in this country became controversial, known as the Partygate scandal. The election of the new chairman of the conservative party will be held in the coming months, and the timetable has been presented. At the Conservative party conference in early October, Johnson will officially be replaced as party leader by a new person.
