Shireen Abu Akleh, Another dozen of journalist casualties by Israel

In the early hours of Wednesday, Israel Defence Forces(IDF) attacked Shireen Abu Akleh and injured her on The West Bank. Shireen Abu Akleh was an AL Jazeera journalist. Indeed, she had Palestinian-American citizenship.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said; that Shireen Abu Akleh was shot in the face and died shortly after.

Another Palestinian journalist working for Jerusalem’s al-Quds newspaper was also injured in the shooting but is stable.

In Fact, on Wednesday Israeli military did this action. The injured and shot Shireen Abu Akleh in the town of Jenin in the Northern West Bank.

Pakistani journalist Hamid Mir has condoled Shireen’s death and strongly criticized Israel. He wrote,’ Shot in the Head.

Israeli soldiers are trying to hide this terror. They want to stop the spread of this action. But this terror is not an action that anyone can hide.

Now, this terror has spread worldwide, and Israeli forces couldn’t hide it. Now all global officials are responsible for investigating this event.

Global officials must investigate this event and try to find the most important agent of this terror.

In the video of Shireen Abu Akleh’s death, Al Jazeera journalist Nida Ibrahim said that she could be seen being shot in the head.

Crying, she said that she was a respected journalist working for Aljazeera since 20000.

The Israeli military shot her in the town of Jenin on the Northern West bank. Even they shot another Palestinian journalist.

Everything about Shireen Abu Akleh.

Shireen Abu Akleh was a Palestinian Journalist who worked as a reporter for the Arabic- language Channel Al Jazeera for 25 years. She was a household name across the middle east for decades of performing and reporting in the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories.

On May 11, 2022, she was shot and killed while covering an Israeli military raid on the West Bank city of Jenin.

Al Jazeera and the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that she was killed by the IDF (Israel Defense Forces). At the same time, Israel initially said she was destroyed by Palestinian fire before later saying it was as yet unknown who was responsible.

Abu Akleh was a veteran reporter and one of the leading journalists in the Arab world. Her career included reporting on major Palestinian events and analyzing Israeli politics; her television reporting and distinct sign-offs were well-known, and she inspired many other Palestinians and Arabs to pursue careers in journalism.

Abu Akleh was born in Jerusalem on January 3, 1971, to a Palestinian Christian family from Bethlehem.

She spent time in the United States, obtaining US citizenship through her mother’s family members who lived in New Jersey.

Abu Akleh attended secondary school in Beit Hanina and then matriculated at the Jordan University of Science and technology to study architecture. But she decided not to pursue the trade and instead transferred to Yarmouk University in Jordan, from which she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in print journalism. After graduating, Abu Akleh returned to Palestine.

She worked as a journalist for Radio Monte Carlo and the voice of Palestine. Even she worked for the UNRAW, Amman Satellite Channel, and MIFTAH.

In 1997, she began working as a Journalist for Al Jazeera as one of their first field correspondents, becoming well known as a reporter on their Arabic- language Channel.

She lived and worked in East Jerusalem, reporting on significant events related to Palestine, including the second Intifada, and covering Israeli politics.

She often reported on funerals for Palestinians killed by Israeli forces. Her job inspired many Palestinians and Arabs to become Journalists.

She was famous and popular, and her live television reporting was well-known. After her death, the New York Times and NPR described her as a “household name” among Palestinians.

The Times of Israel characterized her as “a veteran journalist among Arab media’s most prominent figures”.

The BBC described her as widely known and admired by both viewers and colleagues.

Abu Akleh continued in her role with Al Jazeera until Israel Army killed her in 2022. At the time of her death, she studied Hebrew to better understand narratives in the Israeli media and had recently gained a diploma in digital media.

Shireen Abu Akleh’s funeral ceremony.

Shireen Abu Akleh’s death was horrifying news for people. That was shocking news, and thousands of people participated in her funeral ceremony.

This Al Jazeera Journalist was a respected journalist who had Palestinian American citizenship. In Wednesday’s early hours, the Israeli military attacked her and her colleague.

Israel Army killed her in this terror, but her colleague is in the hospital now. Now she has a stable condition, and all people worldwide are sad about this event.

Journalists with her in the West Bank city of Jenin said Israeli forces fired on them, even if they were wearing vests and identified as journalists.

People carried her body in the coffin through the street. This Murder made the Arab world very sad, and they were sorrowful about this event. This respectful Al Jazeera Journalist was 51 years old.

Shireen Abu Akleh was a famous journalist for Al Jazeera Arabic Language Service. The Channel blamed Israel for doing this action. In this terror, Ashraf Abu Akleh’s colleague was just injured, and now she is just wounded.

The Head of the Palestinian Authority blamed Israel and rejected calls for a joint investigation.

“They cannot hide the truth through this crime, “President Mahmoud Abbas said as her body lay with a Palestinian flag at a funeral in Ramallah.

“They have committed crimes, and because we do not trust them, we will immediately apply to the International Criminal Court,” he said.

Israel has said it is investigating the incident after initially speculating it could have been shot dead by Palestine militants and declined.

An aide to President Abbas Hussein al-Sheikh said they would conduct their own investigation “with high transparency.”

Shireen Abu Akleh’s death has increased the world’s anger against Israel

Killing Shireen Abu Akleh, a Palestinian journalist, by the Israeli military is not new news. For a long time, the Palestinian people have been experiencing Israel oppression.

Now Israeli military doesn’t want to accept her Murder, and they want to pretend that Palestinian forces killed her.

Now there are requests for her murder investigation. World leaders have requested an investigation of her death.

On Wednesday, she was shot by the Israeli military in Jenin. This incident has increased global anger towards the Israel Government.

EU has asked independent investigation to understand the main reason for her death. Even UN human rights chief Michelle Bachelet said she was “appalled”. “Impunity must end”, Bachelet said.

In New York, the US ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, called Abu Akleh’s death “really horrifying” and called for a transparent investigation.

She said protecting American citizens and journalists was “our highest priority.”

Thomas-Greenfield said Abu Akleh did “an extraordinary interview” with her in the West Bank last November. “I left there feeling extraordinary respect for her,” she said.

Even in the United States, the White House has requested a complete investigation. In the United States, governmental officials have got sad about this event.

“We are heartbroken by and strongly condemn the killing of American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh in the West Bank,” Ned Price, US State Department Spokesman, said on Twitter.

“The investigation must be immediate and thorough, and those responsible must be held accountable. This Murder is an effort against media freedom everywhere,” he added.

Al Jazeera media Channel has blamed this action and has stated that Israel undercut the human rights law and even has undercut international rules and norms.

Al Jazeera media has said that we know that the Israeli government is responsible for Shireen Abu Akleh’s death, and Aljazeera has asked the global community to investigate her Murder.

They have announced that they are aware of Israel deliberate intention for her Murder. Still, the Israel Government regime denies this terror and says that Palestinian forces killed her during the war.

Even Palestinian official governments have condemned this Murder, and they have requested for investigation of this terror.

Now all countries around the world are blaming this Murder. Countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kuwait, Qatar, Egypt, United Kingdom, Djibouti, China, Belgium, and Iran have all condemned this Murder and have asked about the role of human rights in this event.

They have all requested for quick and strict investigation of this event.
