British weapons in Ukraine: Russia must be defeated

British weapons in Ukraine: Russia must be defeated

After the beginning of Russia’s attack on Ukraine, Britain started sending armoured launchers to Ukraine. Indeed, Russia has decided to dominate the East, so Britain wants to support Ukraine.

Also, Britain has sent high -Velocity Missile launchers to Ukraine as Russia attempts to control the East.

Military assistance to Ukraine is essential.

Indeed, these armoured missile launchers are powerful; this device needs three people to operate.

According to Volodymyr Zelensky, Russia has concentrated on the East of Donbas these days.

As a result of this intense concentration, Ukraine will face more attacks, and it will feel weaker in front of Russia’s forces.

So, Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukraine’s president, has asked the West for more support, and Prime Minister Boris Johnson has promised to support Ukraine more.

He has stated that the West will send more military equipment to this country to reduce Ukraine tensions.

On the same date, Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said the UK was “stepping up” the supply of arms as she joined NATO counterparts in Brussels to hear the demands from Ukraine for more equipment.

Even US president Joe Biden has agreed to send 800 million dollars (£ 610 m) in military assistance for Ukraine, including artillery and helicopters, to bolster its defences against the expected Russian offensive in the country’s East.

On Monday afternoon Boris Johnson talked to Volodymyr Zelensky and approved his persistence against Russia. It did even promise that it would help and support them as much as possible.

Even statistics show that 16400 Ukrainian refugees have entered Britain with their Ukrainian Visas up to now.

Britain has sent 30 elite troops and 2000 antitank weapons to Ukraine.

Britain has sent a group of 30 best members of its troops to teach Ukrainian forces to use antitank weapons.

The Daily Mail first reported that the UK had sent 2000 antitank missile launchers in the airlifts. The movement of weapons came after Defense Secretary Ben Wallace announced to Parliament that Britain would increase its military support to Ukraine, which also included an increase in British military personnel on the ground as trainers.

George Allison of the UK Defense Journal, a website focused on defence news, posted a time-lapse of the flights on Twitter, which he said began on Monday.

“We have decided to supply Ukraine with light, anti-armour, defensive weapons system, “he said.

Indeed, Britain’s decision to defend Ukraine is solemn; it will send its army forces and equipment to Ukraine, increasing this movement every moment.

Even British troops have gone to Ukraine to train its army forces; after they learn to use army equipment, they will come back to their own country.

So Britain has said that sending British army forces to Ukraine has just a training goal. In comparison, Russia doesn’t believe it and looks at this process doubtfully.

Russia has said that Britain’s action in sending army equipment is a dangerous activity that could intensify this war and have awful consequences.

Send NLAWs to destroy Russian tanks and equipment

on Jan.19, British defence secretary Ben Wallace told the Daily Mail that the UK had already delivered 2,000 NLAWs to Ukraine, which he indicates might continue to rise.

The missile launchers were London’s way of providing defensive aid to Kyiv as Russian forces deploying around Ukraine’s borders gave the impression that a new invasion may be imminent.

The British army also dispatched 30 paratroopers to train Ukrainian forces to operate the NLAWs, which were undoubtedly chosen partly for their ease of use. Thus, they were able to be rapidly adopted by Ukrainian forces facing the current crisis.

The missile deliveries demonstrate London’s support for Kyiv and will be welcome by Ukraine’s military, which faces formidable challenges defending against the numerous possible vectors of a Russian attack.

However, these weapons would only be helpful in pretty desperate circumstances by Ukraine’s military.

Unlike most light antitank weapons, the NLAW has a ‘Predicted Line of Sight’ guidance system. The operator tracks a moving target vehicle in the launcher’s 2.5 x magnification sight for 3-5 seconds before firing.

The missile launchers then use an inertial navigation system to fly to where the launcher’s targeting algorithm predicts the vehicle will be based on its initial trajectory.

On Tuesday afternoon, Boris Johnson had a meeting with Poland’s president, Andrzej Duda; they both agreed that the West must support Ukraine in the coming days and try to reach the equipment faster.

Western countries have begun pledging a fresh wave of military aid after Russia’s initial attack on Kyiv. The conflict had moved to a new phase in which Ukraine is trying to prevent Moscow’s forces from advancing in the East and holding on to gains in the country’s south.

Full-scale Russian attack to occupy the Donbas region

After the beginning War, people from Kremlin- occupied Donbas. Donbas was entirely under the control of the Kremlin, and it had lost its freedom and dependence.

Kremlin had controlled this region entirely, and this situation was utterly bothering for the Ukrainian people.

On February 18, the head of the Kremlin occupied Donetsk and began evacuating civilians after the militants increased shelling of Ukrainian government-controlled territories.

However, Russia had started this attack, and it accused Ukraine of the military attack. Russia occupied Donbas, and people who had to evacuate Donbas faced a horrible situation, and there was some regional discrimination against them.

People who evacuated Donbas didn’t have good conditions in Russia; they didn’t have a good welfare situation, didn’t receive proper food, and had to sleep on chairs or the floor.

After Vladimir Putin announced the evacuation, it started to intensify its eight-year war against Ukraine and invited an international conviction.

Retiree Vasyl who stayed in Donetsk and spoke with Kyiv independent on the condition of anonymity said he had no intention to leave.

“The evacuation in 2014 showed that they are interested in us only us forced labour,” he told Kyiv independent, referring to Russia’s initial invasion of Ukraine.

“If I leave, it will be for Kyiv,” he added.

Stormers, Decisive weapon

Stormers were initially produced as armoured personnel carriers; Stormers were modified for the British army to deploy them as a mobile platform for the Star streak High- Velocity Missiles. (HVM).

The 13-tonne armoured vehicles, manufactured by BAE systems Lands & Armaments, can travel at up to 50 MPH.

They hold eight missile launchers mounted on the turret as a short-range air defence system, ready to fire with nine replacements.

A three-person crew consisting of a commander, operator, and driver is in charge of Star streak launchers located towards the rear and their target sensors.

Since Russia invaded Ukraine, Western Government has only supplied Kyiv with shoulder-launched anti-aircraft missiles.

According to reports, a handful of Stormer’s is now being sent by Britain to Ukraine.

The anti-aircraft Star streak missiles can be fired from lightweight land, sea, and air platform. They are reportedly the fastest short-range surface-to-air system globally, travelling at speeds of more than 2,000 mph, around three times the speed of the sound.

Not only does the UK send Star Streak missile launcher systems, but also it has sent other weapons that are NLAW antitank weapons. British Army has welcomed the Ukrainian military to Salisbury plain.

The British army welcomed the Ukrainian military in Salisbury plain. It did even show that there were many other kinds of weapons that Britain could gift to Ukraine and support it better and further.

Even Britain can present and provide armoured vehicles that can protect Ukrainian troops. Indeed, Britain is now worried about the current situation in Ukraine, and it has said that it will do whatever is possible to protect this country.
